A University of Utah study released last week showed people who talk on their cell phones while driving are as impaired as drunk drivers. So the driver with a lit cigarette in one hand and a cell phone in the other is as impaired as _______________. [Fill-in the blank]
The study also revealed no difference between hands-free conversations and hand-held conversations. The study concluded that it was the distraction of the conversation, not holding the cell phone to their ear, that caused the impairment.
